Two Girls, One Beer is Kristie Martin and Ashleigh Bennett. It’s a place for us to review craft beers, so if you’re here looking for a spinoff of the video we mocked while naming this blog, you’ve come to the wrong place. If you want to talk IBU, ABV, and about whatever worts you may have going on…you’ve come to the right place.
What began as two girls brewing their first batch of beer because they were bored and broke on the Cape, has evolved into a passion. Brewpubs, festivals, homebrewing; we love to experience everything that the world of craft beer has to offer and love meeting new people who share the same appreciation. Two Girls, One Beer is our gal’s guide to the beer world of coastal New England. Look for our book “Rhode Island Beer: Ocean State History on Tap”, published through the History Press.
You can usually recognize us as the chicks hovering over a plate of oysters or cheese, furiously scribbling beer notes onto cocktail napkins.
Kristie Martin lives in Providence, Rhode Island with her boyfriend and evil cat and big-footed dog. With a BA in English and Film and a history of restaurant management, she is now a Certified Beer Server, studying for her Cicerone and Beer Judge licenses, and working as a beverage specialist at Grapes & Grains in Barrington. Some of her interests include compulsively collecting cookbooks, schlocky movies, craft cocktails and tiki drinks, herbal remedies and fitness. Her favorite beer styles are farmhouses and sours.
Ashleigh Bennett lives in Plymouth, MA with her husband (who proposed while they were SCUBA diving a shipwreck), son, dog, and cats. She holds a BA in journalism and cultural anthropology, and works as a high school English teacher. When not working, you can find her strength training at the gym or traveling to obscure places such as a Cramps themed airstream in the Mojave desert. Aside from beer, hobbies include boxing, Spartan racing, weightlifting, hiking, Harry Potter, soap making, paddleboarding, and reading fantasy and horror novels. Favorite beer styles are sours.

We are willing to do product reviews/represent brands that we enjoy and support, but will not post one-sided views or pre-written articles. For beer editorials, interviews, book signings, guided beer tastings/dinners, contact us at email@example.com.
If you’d like to send us beer for review, e-mail us for a mailing address.
